We have 3 different categories of apartments that we rent out for long-term stays:
Category 1 Apartments – Best Choice Collection:
For these apartments, you sign the contract directly with us at Go to Paris. This is done at the time of booking, along with the first payment (which equals the first month’s rent). The remaining rents are paid monthly. Electricity is always included up to a certain limit that you should be able to stay within (if you happen to use more electricity, you will only pay for the difference). Regarding cleaning when you leave the apartment, you can easily arrange this yourself, thus avoiding paying extra for a final cleaning.
Here’s what needs to be done regarding cleaning when you leave the apartment:
- Empty the refrigerator
- Dispose of the trash
- Wipe down the kitchen counters and table
- Wash dishes and put plates, glasses, and utensils back in the cabinets/drawers
- Put back any furniture you may have moved
- Place all sheets/towels in a pile on the bathroom floor … Simply leave the apartment in “normal condition.”
- Then it’s done…
If, by chance, any issues arise, we have our own “team” of repairers/maintenance personnel who will help you quickly and easily. You contact us if any questions or problems come up, and we at Go to Paris will ensure they are resolved. The refundable security deposit for these apartments is between €250 – €500 (the deposit is held by us at Go to Paris). You always have only a 1-month notice period. For check-in, we meet you at the apartment, show you how everything works, and hand over the keys. If you arrive after 8:00 PM, we have a “key box” in central Paris where you can pick up the keys. All payments are made through us at Go to Paris, and you can choose to pay in SEK or EUR. These apartments can only be rented if you are studying at a school in Paris or working in Paris (a school certificate or employment certificate is required). We call these apartments our “Best Choice Collection” because they are carefully selected by us, and we handle the service around the apartments. Please note that we have different standards for the apartments in this collection – ranging from smaller, simpler studios to fantastic luxury apartments! NEW! Now, a liability insurance covering the accommodation is included in the price when renting any of our apartments in the “Best Choice Collection”! This is a significant advantage, as otherwise, you would need to take out a separate insurance for the accommodation.
Category 2 Apartments:
For these apartments, you sign a “Rental Acceptance Agreement” with us. The first payment is made at the time of booking. The remaining rents are paid monthly. Some of these properties include electricity in the rent, while others charge separately for electricity (it will be indicated on the specific apartment page what applies to your apartment). Regarding cleaning when you leave the apartment, you pay extra for it (the cost will be listed on the specific apartment page).
If any issues arise, the owner has their own “team” of repairers/maintenance personnel who will help you. You contact the owner if any questions or problems come up, and it is the owner and their team who will resolve them. Of course, you can also contact us, but it’s important to know that it is the owner who handles and is responsible for the maintenance of the apartment, not us at Go to Paris. The refundable security deposit for these apartments is between €250 up to 1 month’s rent. You always have only a 1-month notice period. For check-in, the owner meets you at the apartment, shows you how everything works, and hands over the keys. All payments are made through us at Go to Paris, and you can choose to pay in SEK or EUR. You must take out your own insurance to protect against things like water damage, fire, etc. We can offer special rates for this type of insurance via Albinet (contact us for more information).
Category 3 Apartments:
This category of apartments is a bit different from the previous two. Here, the owners have private apartments that they want us at Go to Paris to facilitate. This means that the booking process is a little different. First and foremost, these owners want to ensure you can prove you have a stable income or a sponsor (such as parents). You make the first payment to us at Go to Paris, but the remaining payments are made directly to the owner on-site (monthly). The electricity you consume is always added to the rent and paid directly to the owner. Regarding cleaning when you leave the apartment, you pay extra for it (the cost will be listed on the specific apartment page).
You sign a “Rental Acceptance Agreement” with us, and then a lease agreement directly with the owner.
If any issues arise, you contact the owner, as it is the owner who addresses and is responsible for any problems. Sure, you can also contact us, but it’s important to know that we do not manage or are responsible for the maintenance of the apartments in this category. The refundable security deposit for these apartments is equal to 1 or 2 months’ rent (the security deposit is paid to and held by the owner). The notice period is usually 1 month, but some may have 2 months (contact us to find out what applies to your specific apartment). For check-in, the owner meets you at the apartment, shows you how everything works, and hands over the keys. All payments (except the first payment) are made directly to the owner in Paris and are paid in EUR.
As mentioned, remember that it is not us at Go to Paris who manage or are responsible for the maintenance of these apartments; we act solely as an intermediary for the booking process. Everything else is handled directly with the owner. Since these apartments are privately owned, the standard may vary, and the owner’s personal belongings may remain in the apartment, cleaning is handled by the owner, etc. Therefore, it is a somewhat different setup compared to categories 1 and 2.
You must take out your own insurance to protect against things like water damage, fire, etc. We can offer special rates for this type of insurance via Albinet (contact us for more information).
