The apartment is located on Ruedes Meuniers in the quiet neighborhood around Bercy and Reuilly in Paris’s 12th arrondissement. The street dates back to the 18th century as a rural path and is clearly marked on old maps from 1728, with a name that refers to a mill the street led to. It became an official Paris street in 1863 and received its current name in 1880. Part of the street crosses the old Petite Ceinture railway line via a small pedestrian bridge, and at number 67, there are beautifully preserved stone shoe scrapers from days gone by. The neighborhood is quiet and authentically local, within walking distance of Bercy Village and Parc de Bercy, and well-connected via the Dugommier and Porte de Charenton metro stations.
