This is a decision made by individual property owners (not a change in the law) and is being done for fire safety reasons, especially since many Parisian properties are older and more susceptible to fire.

If your apartment doesn't have a mailbox – how to receive mail in Paris

It is not uncommon for furnished apartments in Paris to lack their own mailbox. Fortunately, there are several simple and convenient ways to receive both mail and packages during your stay.

La Poste offers "Poste Restante," where you can have mail sent directly to a selected post office.

• Collect your mail with ID

We are not landlords, owners, or rental agents. We never take possession of, control, or rent out the properties we present.

• The lease agreement is always signed directly between you as the tenant and the French property owner or their representative.
• Go to Paris acts solely as a contact broker, source of information, and guide through the process until the agreement is signed.
• All questions regarding the accommodation, such as standard, condition, rules, rent, deposit, and any measures, are always the responsibility of the property owner.
• We offer Swedish-speaking support and guidance, but we are never a legal party to the tenancy agreement and have no landlord responsibility.
